Experience

Justin Potter joined JCM in 2023 and is a Principal of the firm.  His responsibilities include the origination, execution, and monitoring of portfolio investments as well as contributing to the ongoing development of firm strategy.  Previously, Justin was a Vice President at White Deer Private Equity in Houston, Texas where he led the buildout of the firm’s industrial services and business services investment sectors.

Prior to White Deer, Justin was a Senior Associate at Rotunda Capital in Washington, D.C. where he invested in middle market companies across business services, distribution/logistics, industrials, and financial services sectors. He began his career in strategy consulting at Ernst & Young with engagement experience in growth advisory, cost optimization, data and technology architecture, and target operating model design.

Education

Justin received an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he was a Stamps Scholar Leadership Fellow, and a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, graduating with summa cum laude honors. He is a CFA Charterholder.  Justin still passionately roots for his hometown Cleveland sports teams, and in his free time enjoys traveling and trying to improve his mediocre golf game.
